For example, you are in California and want to find Ffxiv Grand Company First Lieutenant, you can type Ffxiv Grand Company First Lieutenant in California.
A Grand Company (GC) is basically what we call factions in Final Fantasy XIV. So I just hit level 20 for the first time, and I'm about to pick my first grand company. An Eorzean Grand Company is an army, and being in the army is a career. They're not going to throw a promotion at you for doing ONE squadron quest (the most you could have done as the first is 60min, the rest 18hrs - AFAIK).
